What is degree verification?
Degree verification process is a common process compony, university, organisations, banks, multi-national companies, etc. follow the same. Without the documents, degree, marksheets verification the don’t trust whether documents are original or fake, many students apply the job and for bigger post with fake documents taken after paying money to the agents, universities, or to the mediators, applicant apply for the job using these fake documents as original and after verification maximum documents get de verify and many times companies or that organisations register case against applicant. It’s not mandatory that if verification comes negative means documents are fake many time Boards, University staff doesn’t cross verify the records and reply negatively but we can’t deny the fact that maximum documents are fake and applicants sent to the jail under different sections of IPC (Indian penal code 1860)
Fake degree and its consequences?
While any student is caught with the fake documents or fake degree fake migration he or she is booked under sections of IPC 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B these are the serious sections of Indian law some of the sections says life time imprisonment.
Section 420 in The Indian Penal Code
420. Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.—Whoever cheats and thereby dishonestly induces the person deceived to deliver any property to any person, or to make, alter or destroy the whole or any part of a valuable security, or anything which is signed or sealed, and which is capable of being converted into a valuable security, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Section 467 in The Indian Penal Code
467. Forgery of valuable security, will, etc.—Whoever forges a document which purports to be a valuable security or a will, or an authority to adopt a son, or which purports to give authority to any person to make or transfer any valuable security, or to receive the principal, interest or dividends thereon, or to receive or deliver any money, movable property, or valuable security, or any document purporting to be an acquittance or receipt acknowledging the payment of money, or an acquittance or receipt for the delivery of any movable property or valuable security, shall be punished with 1[imprisonment for life], or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Section 468 in The Indian Penal Code
468. Forgery for purpose of cheating.—Whoever commits forgery, intending that the 1[document or electronic record forged] shall be used for the purpose of cheating, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
Section 471 in The Indian Penal Code
471. Using as genuine a forged 1[document or electronic record].—Whoever fraudulently or dishonestly uses as genuine any 1[document or electronic record] which he knows or has reason to believe to be a forged 1[document or electronic record], shall be punished in the same manner as if he had forged such 1[document or electronic record].
Section 120B in The Indian Penal Code
1[120B. Punishment of criminal conspiracy.—
(1) Whoever is a party to a criminal conspiracy to commit an offence punishable with death, 2[imprisonment for life] or rigorous imprisonment for a term of two years or upwards, shall, where no express provision is made in this Code for the punishment of such a conspiracy, be punished in the same manner as if he had abetted such offence.
(2) Whoever is a party to a criminal conspiracy other than a criminal conspiracy to commit an offence punishable as aforesaid shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding six months, or with fine or with both.]
One you are caught with the fake and forged documents and you took these after paying money someone delivered documents to you and you apply in some job or anywhere or in any govt. job it’s not mean you are not Accused you are also has same part of Crime as delivered person did, you can’t be released only saying that someone gave that documents to you, you’ll also be booked with the same sections.
Note:-Batter verify your documents properly first then apply in any job and if you verify your documents with any Govt. Process that’s much better than taking only verification letter from your university.

- Verify your degree through RTI:- although you have different ways to verify your degree/Marksheets but prefer RTI first once verify by RTI you can trust your degree.
What is RTI?

- Physical Verification:- you can also verify you degree through physical verification where you can visit your university and can follow the process of the university how they verify your degree and make report about Positive or Negative and hand over you physically or many universities send it by post at your resident address mention in your Aadhar card. If found fake many universities take legal action against the students its seen many times FIR gets lodge against the students. You must visit your university if you are a genuine student and you have studied properly from the university
- Mail Verification:- another option of your degree verification is mail verification and very popular also only because it is effortless process maximum universities verify your documents through the mail process if your documents are genuine but also seen many times some fraud universities verify the details then after lodge a FIR and say our mail id was hacked and this is not hidden you can see many universities even have update notice on their site beware with fake mail ID’s and fake websites.
